Description

C-Gel is a topical 2.5% calcium gluconate gel used in the first aid treatment of skin burns caused by exposure to hydrofluoric acid. It is also commonly known as HF antidote gel. The immediate application of this calcium gluconate gel to the burn site can significantly reduce deep tissue and bone damage. C-Gel should be readily available in all workplaces that involve exposure to hydrofluoric acid, no matter what further safety measures are put in place.

C-Gel is an easy to use cream, which can be self-administered or applied by a suitable first aider, available as a 40g tube. Otherwise known as hf antidote gel.

How should I apply the C-Gel? ▼

After that, apply a generous amount of c gel directly to the affected area and gently massage it into the skin. It is also important to seek medical attention as quickly as possible, as HF burns can be quite severe.
