What should be in a military first aid kit?

A military or tactical first aid kit (IFAK) typically includes a CAT tourniquet, an Israeli emergency bandage, a trauma or field dressing, haemostatic granules or gauze such as Celox, and protective gloves. These focus on controlling catastrophic bleeding, which is the leading cause of preventable death in combat situations.

What is a CAT tourniquet used for?

A CAT (Combat Application Tourniquet) is used to stop severe, life-threatening bleeding from a limb. It uses a windlass system to apply pressure and can be self-applied with one hand, making it a core component of military and tactical first aid kits.

Are these military first aid supplies genuine?

Yes. Jax First Aid supplies genuine CAT tourniquets and recognised brands such as Celox and Prometheus. We also offer dedicated training versions so personnel can practise application without using live equipment.

Do you offer bulk or MoD purchase orders for military supplies?

Yes. We offer bulk discounts, purchase orders and instant credit for armed forces units, cadet forces, training providers and organisations. Contact our team for a tailored quote.
