Qualicare Burn Gel is a water based hydrogel especially formulated to soothe and cool burns and scalds. The sterile gel gets to work fast on relieving pain and promoting recovery, whilst keeping the wound hydrated and protected from further infection.

The non-adherent and sterile soft foam dressings are loaded with soothing gel making them suitable for all minor burns and scalds. Burn gel can be used on patients of all ages and is suitable for use on facial burns and scalds.

Which burns are suitable for this dressing? ▼

This burn gel face mask is made for minor burns and scalds, including facial burns. They are not appropriate for deep, chemical, electrical or large circumferential burns.

How should I apply this mask? ▼

It is highly recommended to first cool the burn with cool running water for 20 minutes. After that, remove jewellery/clothing if safe, and place the sterile mask over the cooled area without stretching it. Always seek emergency care for serious burns.

Is it suitable for children and infants? ▼

This burn gel face mask is suitable for all ages for minor burns.

Is the dressing sterile and single-use? ▼

The burn mask is supplied as sterile until opened and intended to be single-use. You should discard it after use immediately.

Can this replace cool running water? ▼

No. Immediate cooling with cool running water for 20 minutes is per the NHS guidance, and this is not a replacement for that. The hydrogel mask simply soothes, cools and protects after initial cooling, and is not a substitute for emergency treatment.
