Qualicare Burn Gel is a water based hydrogel especially formulated to soothe and cool burns and scalds. The sterile gel gets to work fast on relieving pain and promoting recovery, whilst keeping the wound hydrated and protected from further infection.

What burn severity is Burncare Hydrogel for? ▼

Burncare Hydrogel is made only for minor burns and scalds. It is not suitable for large, deep, or full thickness burns.

Can I apply burn gel instead of running water? ▼

Best practice first aid is to first cool a burn with running water for 20 minutes, and only after that should burn gel or burn dressings be applied.

How quickly should the gel be applied? ▼

It is recommended to apply the burn gel as soon as possible after the burning source is removed and cooled under running water for 20 minutes to maximise cooling, relieve pain and minimise further tissue damage.

Is this burn gel sterile and non-adherent? ▼

The Burncare Hydrogel 60ml is sterile and non-adherent, to help with painless application and prevent any sticking when dressing a burn.

Does burn gel prevent infection? ▼

The hydrogel in the burn gel helps to protect a burn from environmental contamination and keeps the wound hydrated. However, if there is heavy exudate, contamination, or signs of infection, medical help should be sought immediately.
