Frequently Asked Questions

Is this eyewash solution compliant with UK health and safety regulations?

The eyewash solution in this eyewash kit is 0.9% sterile saline, which aligns with the HSE guidelines UK for eye irrigation. It is therefore suitable to be used in workplaces to meet first aid and health and safety requirements.

How should the eyewash kit be stored?

It is recommended to keep the eyewash kit in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. The eyewash kit has an integral bracket for securely fixing the box to a wall, as well as a handle for easy portability.

What is the shelf life of the eyewash solution?

The bottles of eye wash included have an expiration date printed on the bottle, which usually ranges between 4-5 years from the manufacturing date. It is recommended to regularly check and replace expired eye wash to keep the best level of compliance and safety.

Is the eyewash kit suitable for environments with high dust or chemical exposure?

The eyewash kit is an excellent choice for workplaces such as laboratories, workshops, or construction sites where the risk of eye contamination may be higher.

Are replacement bottles available separately?

We supply individual sterile eye wash bottles, which allows for easy replacement without the need for purchasing a new eyewash kit.

Is training required to use the eyewash kit effectively?

While the eyewash kit is made for use by trained and untrained users alike, it could be very beneficial for staff to undergo basic first aid training. For training purposes, we offer a range of first aid training equipment for first aid education.
