Frequently Asked Questions
What sizes of the neoprene wrist brace do you have, and how do I choose the right one?
The Neoprene wrist brace comes in three sizes, small (12-14 cm), medium (14-17 cm) and large (16.5-19.5 cm). It is recommended, for a comfortable and correct fit, to measure your wrist circumference just above the wrist joint using a tape measure. If you are in-between sizes, we recommend the size up to allow proper compression without restricting any circulation, which is important under UK health best practices.
What does the neoprene wrist support actually do?
The neoprene wrist support is perfect for mild wrist sprains, strains, mild arthritis, repetitive strain injuries (like RSI), or even early stage carpal tunnel. The neoprene material can retain excellent interior warmth, which helps to boost blood flow and soothe muscles and tendons, which is a clinically proven effect. The wrist brace also gives gentle, light compression to help reduce swelling, which is essential for injury care.
Can you describe the level of immobilisation offered by this wrist brace?
Unlike fully rigid splints, this wrist brace gives semi-rigid support, which is enough to restrict excessive wrist flexion or extension without completely immobilising the wrist joint. This helps to support the natural healing process while still allowing everyday hand tasks.
Is the support suitable for use during physical activity?
The neoprene wrist brace is slim and flexible enough for light exercise, gym usage, and daily use. It gives outstanding stability when in movement and fits comfortably underneath most gloves or sleeves. However, it is highly recommended to avoid high-impact sports until the wrist is healed.
