Frequently Asked Questions

What is this Reusable Hot/Cold Pack? ▼

This is a gel-filled compress pack (sized 230 mm × 130 mm) made for dual-use. It can be frozen for use as a cold pack, or warmed as a heat pack. It uses non-toxic CMC gel inside a medical grade nylon pouch, with heat welded seams for high durability and repeated use.

Is the hot/cold pack safe for repeated use? ▼

This gel pack is tested for repeated applications. The durable seams and non-toxic gel make it suitable for hundreds of applications before a replacement is needed.

Can this pack be included in workplace first aid kits? ▼

This hot/cold pack is a great addition to many first aid kits, giving temperature therapy for sprains, bruises or muscle strains.

What types of injuries or conditions can it support? ▼

This cold/heat pack is useful for soft tissue injuries, minor sprains, muscle aches, swelling or bruising. Cold therapy can minimise swelling and inflammation; heat therapy can help to relieve muscular tension or discomfort.

How should it be used safely? ▼

For cold therapy, place the pack flat in the freezer until sufficiently chilled. For heat therapy, follow the pack’s printed instructions regarding the microwave heating, carefully avoiding overheating. Always make sure to wrap the pack in a cloth before applying to skin to minimise the risk of a cold/heat injury.
