Axiostat is a bioactive haemostatic dressing. It works on a unique charge-based mechanism of mucoadhesion which forms a mechanical barrier on the bleeding site. TraumaFix™ Tactical Axiostat Haemostatic dressings react with blood cells and create a robust seal. Unlike other Haemostatic dressings that are coated or impregnated with Chitosan, Axiostat is 100% chitosan for faster haematosis, leaving no debris in a wound.
